Site Visits
We offer a free site visit to find out if our livestock would serve you well, and to be able to give you an accurate quote for the work. We typically schedule site visits in the later mornings and early afternoons on weekdays, but can make special arrangements if you are a nine-to-fiver.
Payment & Minimum
We price jobs based on all sorts of factors - distance, density of vegetation, terrain, difficulty of fencing, etc. We charge a minimum of $3,500.00 for any size job, due to the inherent time and expense of clearing line, installing fencing, and transporting livestock in and out of your property.
We ask for 50% of the total fee for the job when we begin work on your property, and the remaining 50% when we depart.
Arrival and Departure
We tend to book out several weeks or even months in advance. Because we are working with nature and animals, we cannot guarantee a specific arrival date, but will communicate with you as the arrival time draws near. We will usually spend a couple of days preparing your property before we bring in the livestock.
Once we transport the livestock away, it may take up to a week for us to “break camp” and remove our fencing, troughs, hose, and other equipment.
While the Livestock is on Your Property
The sheep, goats, and guardian dogs will live on your property 24/7. Our guardian dogs tend to be friendly but are not pets and we ask that you not approach them or step inside the fence line. Expect the dogs to bark.
We will visit the animals daily, usually in the mornings, to feed and brush the dogs, check and count the livestock, and make sure the fences are intact and charged. We remain on-call for client concerns or any emergencies.
